We at Grupo Mallorca Select have been selling businesses in Mallorca as a commercial agency for over five years. In this time we have seen so many people buy a business with enthusiasm and optimism for a new life in our beautiful island – but fail due to lack of planning; preparation and understanding of running a business in a different country, with different rules and a different language. 

This new Business Start-Up course has been developed to help our clients prepare fully for the changes they will encounter in moving to Mallorca and provide a solid support network to guide them through purchase and establishment of their new business.  

Investing a small percentage of the cost of a new business will save costly mistakes and give peace of mind - knowing there are qualified, experienced experts here to help you through this important decision in your new life, here in Mallorca. 

1. Analysis of your personal requirements and business category you intend starting in Mallorca/ Spain
2. An overview of the laws and taxation pertaining to business start-ups in Mallorca
3. Preparing a Business Plan (including Cash Flow and Budget planning)

   • What goes into a business plan?
   • Know your competition
4. The costs involved in starting a business
   • Income and expense forecast
   • Cash flow budget
   • Break-even analysis
   • Advertising and marketing
   • Cash reserves
5. Introduction to legal and fiscal professional partners for ongoing support for all your legal and accounting requirements when starting your business here in Mallorca
6. Presentations from a group of established Commercial agencies with available businesses in your requested field (if required)

8.  Fundementals of the Spanish language and a guideline to achieving fluency.

A pre-course questionnaire will be sent to all attendees to ascertain which parts of the above material are relevant to their particular needs. The course will then be personalized to cover the pertinent areas to the attendees needs. There may be extra classes run in the evening to cover specific points that individuals require outside of the group needs. 

Ordinarily the course will run from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm with lunch between 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm.

The course fee also includes the accommodation at Finca Sant Blai, with breakfast and lunch for one person. A second person/ partner can use the hotel facilities, if they also wish to attend the course there will be a 50% discount of the course fee. 

The cost of the course will be 2,500.00€ + IVA (16%)
